Welcome to Year 4 Summer Term 24-25
Year 4 Composing
Year 4 have enjoyed more learning with the recorder. Today they have been working on understanding how to write music. We began by writing the treble clef, our time and then writing notes on the stave. We then enjoyed practising our first ever piece of music we wrote ourselves!
Disco
Year 4 had a fantastic time at the summer disco! They enjoyed dancing, games and snacks with their friends!
Blossoms Project
Year 4 have enjoyed visiting Washington Old Hall today as the second part of their Blossom Project. They enjoyed listening to sounds in the natural environment, making recordings, interviewing each other and then using the resources around them to create their own art. We are looking forward to their work being displayed ! What a fantastic afternoon in the sun.
Year 3 and 4 Visit Beamish!
Year 3 and 4 have had a fantastic day visiting Beamish. They loved taking part in a workshop about the development of the safety lamp, exploring the 1950's and 1900's. They even had time to fit in an ice cream and a little play in the park. We would like to thanks Washington Rotary Club for such a fantastic day!

Performing
Well done Year 4. We have ended or musical instrument learning unit. Together with our friends we wrote our own short piece, practised and then performed to others. We really enjoyed creating and sharing our own piece.
