As part of our last lesson on sound, Year 4 have been thinking about how far a sound travels before we stop hearing it. We set up a mini investigation outside where we started near a sound (a drum or a speaker) and moved further away from it until we couldn't hear it any longer. We noticed that we stopped at different distances from the source of the sound and we thought about why it varied from one person to another and why we all got to a point where we stopped hearing the sound altogether.
